Occasionally, you should conceal an order from your history if you share an Amazon account with your partner or allow others to log in with your Prime login. This will enable you to avoid ruining a birthday gift’s surprise or preventing your children from seeing inappropriate items when shopping for school supplies. So, here’s how you can hide orders on Amazon.

Can others see your Amazon orders?

If you share your account with your family or leave your computer unattended while signing into your account, they can view your Amazon order history. This also applies to Amazon Prime members, as anyone with your login information can view your recent purchases if you share an account with your spouse or children.

While it may be fine for everyday purchases, you may prefer to keep your special events or private purchases to yourself. So, how do you hide orders on Amazon?

Can you hide orders on Amazon?

Archiving your purchased goods is the simplest method to hide orders on Amazon. If you archive an order, it will no longer appear in your order history. You can always locate your items among the archived orders, so there’s no need to worry.

To hide orders on Amazon, follow these steps:

  • If you use a desktop computer, access your Amazon account by logging in to a web browser.
  • Hover your cursor and click on “Returns and Orders,” located in the upper right corner, to view your orders from the past three months.
  • Select the item you want to hide and click “View Order Details.”
  • Click on “Archive Order” to conceal the purchase. Please note that it won’t be deleted; you can view it whenever you like. You can archive up to 500 orders in total.
  • If you use a tablet or phone, open the Amazon app and log in to your account.
  • Go to “Your Orders” and select the item you want to hide.
  • Click “View Order Details” and then select “Archive Order.”

How can you stop Alexa from ruining the surprise?

To prevent Alexa from revealing the delivery date and name of your order in front of your family, you should take the following steps to modify your Alexa settings and keep your order a secret:

  • Open the Alexa app on your smartphone or tablet.
  • Go to the “Settings” menu.
  • Click on “Notifications” and then select “Amazon Shopping.”
  • Look for the option labeled “Speech or Display Item Titles” and disable it.
  • By doing this, Alexa will no longer be able to disclose the contents of your order while still keeping you informed about the expected arrival time of your package.

Conclusion

Now that you know how to hide orders on Amazon, you will appreciate the extra effort you put in to ensure it surprises your loved one when they receive the package and see the joy on their face. Furthermore, remember to exercise caution in safeguarding your data to protect yourself from Amazon’s fraudulent activities, including email scams.
